Augsburg - in the heart of Bavaria, not far from Munich and the Alps, the oldest city in germany is friendly, manageable and safe! A perfect starting point for many tourist attractions which we head for in our daytrips. Careful, thematic preparation in class integrates these excursions into the timetable, and the visual impressions are reinforced with basic historical and political background, casually broadening the horizons.

Our courses are "All Inclusive":

- 20 lessons German per week / placement and certificate
- accommodation in host families with all meals
- leisure programme (incl. trips and entrances)
- One fullday excursion per week
- local bus ticket
- transfer from/ to the station (free of charge)

No hidden extras like enrolment fees!

Accommodation

We carefully select our host families and regularly inspect the accommodation. You will share a room with another student (from another country - so you do not have to come in pairs and it is easy to make new friends). You will have breakfast and diner with the host family, and they will give you a packed lunch.

On your first day at school the family will show you the way to school.

Please do not forget to bring with you:  A good disposition, swimming things, sports clothing, sturdy shoes!

Arrival

Students normally arrive on the Sunday before the beginning of the course. If you arrive by train, the host family will pick you up from the station (free of charge). On request we organize a transfer from Munich Airport [EUR 55,00], which is especially suitable for unaccompanied students. The students are picked up from the airport gate by a driver, and taken directly to their homestay family in Augsburg. This offer applies to the departure trip as well, and the driver helps the student to check-in and makes sure that they arrive safely.

If you are planning on accompanying your child to Augsburg, we are happy to organize a hotel for you.

Security

Augsburg is a safe city but please do not have large amounts of cash on them - plus, it's easy to lose things! The public transport is also very safe, punctual and reliable.

A typical day in our summer courses...

Having breakfast with the host family, they take me to school in the morning, German lessons (listening to some songs - I can understand them by now :) - and singing aloud, interviews with my class mates). Meeting friends in the break. Picnic in the park,  strolling through the city (buy some souvenirs?). At 2 p.m. continuing with the programme, today we go on a boat trip on the moat near the city walls. Diner with my host family, and finally having more fun on the school party!
